Reporting to the Senior Team Leader your main duties will include:


• Ensuring production plans are adhered to by managing the performance of your lines of responsibility including machinery and labour ensuring that downtime is kept to a minimum and that deadlines are met.
• Managing Production Operatives ensuring that job rotation is carried out and recorded and that all tasks are understood and carried out efficiently and effectively.
• Maintaining high standards of hygiene and Health and Safety within your area of responsibility to ensure product quality maintained and to minimise accidents and health problems to employees.
• Undertaking all relevant checks, in that they are performed and documented in line with Company and legislative requirements to ensure that products meet both the customer specification and the requirements of food safety legislation.
• Keeping accurate records to calculate key performance indicators including efficiency, plan attainment and downtime, ensuring that any problems are identified and swiftly resolved.
• Ensuring that all critical control points are correctly manned by trained personnel.
• Work in other areas of the factory as and when required.

 


Is This Role for You?


The ideal candidate will have experience in a food manufacturing environment in a similar position and have an understanding of food legislation and HACCP. Being flexible and reliable the right candidate will also have a pro-active approach to carrying out work activities.

You must be able to follow written and verbal instructions, have excellent communication skills and be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines. With a good general education, you will have a methodical and organised approach to work, both individually and as part of a team.
